Most of the contemporary technologies or evolving ones around the world are born in the first world that are accordingly furnished to fit and suit their own environment and needs. Unfortunately, these technologies cannot be directly applied for developing country like Nepal; customized solution needs to be developed. It is our proud honor to be one of the first organizations in Nepal to establish itself as catalyst to fill the gap between the state-of-art GIS technology and the solution seekers locally.

GIS Division provides services ranging from on-site technical and consulting support on GIS system setup, migration of conservative file system database to state-of-art relational data management systems as well as customization of ESRI desktop and Internet Map Server (IMS) software to suit the organizational needs. Nepasoft’s Geo-Information division consists of a team of GIS analysts and programmers dedicated on providing world-class solutions.

GIS Feasibility study includes investigating the potentials and possibilities of GIS use in an organization to make it more effective and efficient. Among others, the impediments of GIS implementation are identified and cost benefit analysis is made.

GIS Needs Assessment includes a review of user’s work environment and identifies where GIS applications can improve the productivity. This assessment identifies GIS application and data requirements, and an implementation strategy for supporting GIS user needs along with the formulating strategies and action plans for smooth diffusion of GI System within the organization.

GIS Database Development includes formulation and implementation of strategies for developing digital spatial database from scratch or migrating from the existing databases. Prior to developing the database, data modeling is conducted, which is one of the most crucial aspects of a successful GIS.
